AIS – indoor silicone termination for medium voltage cables up to 24 kV The AIS 20 indoor termination is a silicone indoor termination for medium voltage polymeric insulated cables with an extruded conductive screen. AIS installation is simple and fast: an integrated silicone tube provides the sealing interface with the mechanical contacts, a high‑flexibility silicone sheath ensures a perfect fit to the cable, an integrated stress control device for the electric field, with no mastic required. The AIS range covers a wide conductor cross‑section range and is compliant with CENELEC HD 629.1

Product description
The AIS 20 termination is suitable for indoor installation on polymeric insulated medium voltage cables with extruded easy strip conductive screen or bonded extruded conductive screen. With this high quality silicone termination, a wide range of cross-sections is covered per voltage level.
Another benefit given by using the AIS termination is the quick and easy assembly. The conductor can be connected with mechanical cable lugs. The termination is available with additional splitting accessories for three-core, copper wire screened or copper tape screened and armored cables.
