 The ideal solution proposed by Nexans to address the problem of limited available space in tubes, and their size, on the access network market!
With this in view, Nexans is extending its range of fibre optic cables to include cables for so-called "loose tube" terrestrial outdoor installations with a reduced diameter. This new range of multi-tube products consists of two types:
- With a maximum tractive force of 250 daN; intended for blowing or for laying in pipes and in cable ducts
- With a maximum tractive force of 900 daN; intended for drawing and for blowing in pipes and cable ducts.
Thanks to its reduced diameter, this new generation of fibre optic cables will permit a saving in space of between 15 and 30%. By utilizing the existing pipe networks in an optimal manner, the installation of these cables will not require any extra investment. They offer the ideal solution for optimizing the access networks.
